Tena Raglin
Tena’s teaching journey began in the San Joaquin Valley in California and continued in the greater Chicagoland area, including the renowned Chicago Public Schools system. With a Master of the Arts in Early Childhood Education from Governors State University, she has dedicated her life to education and has worked with students of all age groups, ranging from infants to college-level. Throughout her career, Tena has seamlessly integrated the use of Color Code Personality Science to understand individual motive and use one's strengths to achieve goals.
Tena currently serves as our Public Relations Officer, for Simplifying Therapy where she plays a pivotal role in managing public outreach and communication with clients and community members. She is dedicated to advocating for our organization's values, ensuring that our messaging is both clear and impactful. In addition to her PR responsibilities, Tena also serves as a ColorCode Personality Educator, conducting weekly workshops for adults and companies. Her belief in the importance of the Color Code theory extends to both educators and students, as it provides deep insights into the dynamics of relationships and the underlying factors that influence human interactions. Tena's commitment to enhancing understanding and communication through the Color Code theory is a valuable asset to our organization and our clients.
Mercedes Weems
Mercedes is the Director of Operations at Tequity Partners, where she seamlessly applies her extensive experience from high-pressure healthcare environments to the dynamic world of technology management consulting. Trained in the demanding and fast-paced Medical-Surgical Unit at Rush University Medical Center, Mercedes has a proven track record of leading with empathy, precision, and effectiveness. Her adeptness at managing complex situations, coupled with her leadership in overseeing daily operations, has propelled Tequity Partners to new operational heights.
Leveraging her background in nursing and her innate ability to adapt and communicate across diverse groups, Mercedes has been instrumental in enhancing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of productivity and morale within the firm. Her unique approach to operations, rooted in her healthcare experience, prioritizes problem-solving, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration, driving innovation and excellence at Tequity Partners.

Dr. Crystal Brown-Lewis
Dr. Crystal Brown-Lewis brings more than three decades of expertise to her role as a Clinical Life Coach, with a rich background encompassing therapy, administration, planning, and consulting in both community and academically-oriented social service agencies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to achieve a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (now recognized as Argosy University) in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Brown-Lewis specializes in diverse areas, including restorative justice, adolescent issues, family dynamics, community engagement, and coaching. Her extensive experience extends to both public and private school systems, where she has diligently addressed a myriad of interpersonal challenges affecting families and individuals.
Kelly Stafford
Kelly has over 9 years of experience working in therapeutic day schools with Autistic children and young adults. She began her career as a teaching assistant but now holds the role of the Crisis Intervention Trainer / Behavioral Specialist Supervisor. She has also worked extensively on the way in which behavioral data is recorded and assisted in revising plans for the future. She is excited for the opportunity to join the board of Teaching Therapy.
Marissa Raglin
Marissa founded Teaching Therapy with a clear mission: to eliminate financial barriers in accessing mental health services. Recognizing the significant challenges posed by cost, our board is dedicated to ensuring that mental health education is available and affordable for everyone! This initiative was born from a belief that everyone deserves access to the tools and resources necessary to improve their well-being and thrive and we are eager to bring more services to the community!
