Healing Together: Empowering Women Through Mindfulness & Mental Health Education

From November 2023 through March 2023, we partnered with The Program House to offer our Think & Behave Better Series—a transformative experience for both the women we served and myself as a mental health educator.

Each week, we combined grounding meditation practices with mental health education, giving women space to learn, reflect, and share how these tools support their recovery. All 15 participants reported they would recommend the program to friends and family.

Participant feedback highlights the impact:

  • “Very helpful and easy to understand. Relevant topics and day-to-day discussions.”
  • “Your presence was calming and welcoming—it made it easier to listen and receive the information.”
  • “I liked that you could break down a feeling to its core. The different exercises were all helpful.”

In Fall 2024, we were honored to partner again with The Program House for our Feeling & Being Better Series. Together with a new group of women, we explored mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Creating a safe and supportive environment allowed participants to be vulnerable, explore their inner selves, and take meaningful steps on their healing journeys.

It is always a privilege to walk alongside these women as they embrace recovery, growth, and the courage to step into who they truly want to be.
